💘 How did they meet ♥ ?

Resh’a & Y’shtaka

Resh’a and Y’shtaka met as young children in Othard, from different tribes but arranged to get married once they were older to solidify relations between the two tribes. They never saw each others’ faces, for they wore masks whenever they met. But that didn’t seem to matter much since children just liked to play.

There was one hurdle to be passed over though before they were to be wed, a coming-of-age trial for Resh’a that was part of Y’shtaka’s tribe traditions. The trial was failed though when the day finally arrived, Y’shtaka had got hurt for intervening and Resh’a caught a glimpse of her face. A big no no, which angered the tribe.

That was the last day they saw each other until many years later in Eorzea.

“U’sokka, or Y’shtaka even, is a difficult one to explain since it’s a complicated situation. U’sokka came into my life right after I had lost Y’shtaka, I was grieving and had no desires for anything. She did provide comfort as a friend though and it was appreciated.

In time though, U’sokka started showing signs of being someone else. Memories that only Y’shtaka would of had and so her brother came to the conclusion that the events that took Y’shtaka’s life were too soon, her Aether and soul had somehow embedded themselves into U’sokka, who had died at the site beforehand, and so two lives were saved. Two people became one and I cannot be more thankful to have my Moon again.”
