The ocean's cool embrace slips around them like a silken shawl as they step through the glowing barrier. Water parts with a whisper against their mask as the ballroom stretches wide before them, a grand hall that has them... well, the decor matters less than the sheer feat of magicaround them. They sigh and talk to a random passerby, if only to toss away the anxiety that bubbles up in their throat.
"Can you believe this place?" their voice ripples through the air, like they're afraid the spell might break if they talk too loud. For all they know, it might- it's not as if they have experience with this sort of thing. "I mean, honestly. Who thought it was a good idea to dance at the bottom of the ocean? Who thought it was a good idea to stuff so many nobles in a giant fish tank? Though I guess I can't be certain there actually is anyone noble who took this up, what with the whole, well." They twirl a finger at their face.
But even that thought is tossed aside in wonder as they cup their chin. "Don't get me wrong," they continue, motioning at a pair of dancers practically tangled in each other's arms. "It's impressive. A 'flex'. Who's gonna wanna fight someone who has the ocean at their beck and call? But if they really wanted to impress me, they'd have thrown in some sparkle. Pearls! Glitter! Something to make me look even cuter."
They lean in closer to their silent companion, lowering their voice to a conspiratorial whisper. "Between you and me, I think they just wanted an excuse to see if anyone would try to dance with the fish."
