So there's this author on Tumblr who's just published a book. I'm not going to name names or titles because I know this author looks themself up, but suffice it to say: if I wrote a book where fantasy racism (against a white human, perpetuated by a blue-skinned elf) is a major plot point, and only after people either called me out for accidental racist writing or nicely sent me resources on writing characters of color did I admit that I needed to do research... I would just delete my blog out of shame
