There was nothing that could explain the anger and resentment that he
felt against Kira. Kira. The murderer, of both the innocent and criminal
alike. While he somewhat agreed with his motivation, he couldn’t ever
forgive him for putting his father and him through that. Months of suspicion,
months of trying to prove that he wasn’t the mass murderer that had
plagued this world, and yet -- L still hadn’t been fully convinced.
Light was not Kira. He was 100% sure of that now. He was framed. He was,
even perhaps, controlled. He didn’t know. Regardless, what had happened
had simply fuelled his passion to find him and put a stop to him once and
for all. And he was going to succeed in that. There was no doubt about it.
He peered over towards L, who was both eating and working beside him. The
handcuffs connecting them had been swinging up and down for some time now.
He sighed. He hadn’t gotten used to them yet. It was a worthy sacrfice. To prove to
L and to everyone else that he wasn’t Kira, as well as being able to stay around
Ryuzaki 24/7. But it was beginning to become irritating. Not because of the
detective, but because his wrist was starting to get sore.
He looked over towards the time, then closed his eyes, and leaned on the desk.
His head resting in his arms. “I’m going to sleep. Try to be quiet, okay?” He only
had about five hours before the other memebers of the task force would awaken.
L peered over to him, “If you wish to go to bed, I can easily move the computer to
the other room, Light.” He said, after a moment’s pause.
“No, it’s okay. You’ve got all you need here. I wouldn’t want to inconvieniance you.
Besides-- I’d rather stay here. It just wastes time if we move from one room to
the other.” He yawned. In hearing a hum of acceptance from L, he closed his
eyes, and turned away from the detective.
It honestly surprised himself how easily it was to fall to sleep.
He was even more surprised that he was dreaming. He couldn’t remember the
last time he dreamed. It was certainly a while ago... Before all those weeks in
confinement. The setting - a black void - manifested around him, and soon he
was in a deep sleep.
