My holy grail is Sylvie’s leg always taking a second longer than everyone else’s to come down bc her extensions are so high and controlled
Costuming 100% + Facials were out of this world. Our Clara is killing it! Love the skin tone shoes and mesh pieces on the costume, makes her lines amazing! Yay for Larkin
Mina Terry from the dance moms a new era szn one! Left the show for ballet and good for her!
YAGP Finals
Ellary Day and Sylvie Win danced so incredibly at the YAGP Finals- honestly I hope both Szyndlar sisters are really proud of themselves after Tampa this past weekend! Each danced so beautifully and one can only imagine how much hard work they've done, this year especially.
YAGP Results wise - SW: A huge congrats to Sylvie Win - placing 1st in the Contemporary Category and 2nd in the Classical Category. It was also so exciting hearing 'Sylvie Win' as the very first name called for the Top 24 and then again for the Top 12 for both categories, that must have been such an incredible feeling for her. ED: I was super surprised not hearing her name at all as the judges went through the Junior Category. But obviously it is a completely different kettle of fish once you move up from the pre-competitive age division, and it becomes a lot harder to place. Regardless, I thought she danced brilliantly - and the brilliant red dress embodied that. The live commentators were right in pointing out that she not only has long legs but also what they termed "long feet" - i.e. another feature that comes along with being above average height - and how that is additionally difficult to control when dancing en pointe, not to mention even more difficult when you're new to it as well!
I hope Ellary and Sylvie get a good break to rest a bit now considering how rigorously they've been working - as the saying goes "burning the candle at both ends". As a dancer pacing yourself is so important...
Huge Congrats
A pre competitive on pointe?! Her pirouettes were amazing, so impressive! Glad she is 11 though, I appreciate yagp’s limitations in terms to competing on pointe. Flawless!
