When online registration closed this past Tuesday at 5pm EDT, we had 533 classmates registered. With partners, family, and guests, the total attendee count landed at 1,017 (to date). In case you’re wondering how that breaks down, here are some interesting tidbits:
533 registered represents 40.6% of our class. Not sure how that compares with other recent reunion class attendance percentages, but the Class of 1990 closed registration with 525 and ended up with 582 classmates in attendance, thanks to same-day registrations.
The Class of 1989 set a high-water mark with 1,179 attendees. We’re unlikely to beat that, but we will probably fall right around 1990’s number of 1,055, assuming we have at least 38 folks register when they arrive.
Every Residential College except for TD and JE has at least 1 in 3 classmates attending, with TD coming close at 32%.
While Saybrook leads in total classmates registered (56), Calhoun is *just* ahead percentage wise with 50.5% of Hounie ’91ers confirmed to the Brook’s 50.0%.
Five of the residential colleges have at least 40% of their ’91ers attending, with Davenport (49%), Trumbull (43%), Pierson (41%), joining Calhoun and Saybrook. Stiles and Silliman are *just* behind, with 39% confirmed each.
But while statistics and competition between the Residential Colleges can be interesting, the key thing is this: our 25th Reunion will be the largest gathering of our classmates since Commencement Day 1991, 25 years to the day this Friday. Congratulations, Class of 1991, and welcome to your 25th Reunion weekend!
