okay so dave, later on, said that black magic "ruined his life" and im like, bro....
it would, especially if you use it for stupid shit (wishing a guy break his bones and he did, wishing for a girlfriend, etc.) and most importantly, incorrectly. but i had something else in theory.
i really do believe that dave tried to hex Metallica, as a revenge for kicking him out. idk if he wanted to hex the whole band or at least a member (probably James, Lars or Kirk), but who knows?
in "the conjuring", one of the lyrics was like "I put a hex on someone, and it worked". peace sells came out on September 19th, 1986. guess who passed away 8 days after? in the bus, kirk and cliff were drawing cards to get the top bunk of the bed. cliff won, but the thing is... he drew the ace of spades, which is not only the highest card, but also known as the 'death card''.
when cliff passed away, all of the megadeth members were taken aback, but it was dave taken aback the most, crying for days and even feeling 'guilty' about his death.
but the craziest thing is that,,, dave and cliff were close friends and cliff was the only member of metallica to check up on him AFTER he was kicked out.
so, tldr: dave tried to hex metallica, specifically at a member who distrusted him dearly, but it backfired and hexxed the one he trusted the most.
