Hey, so this is some of my art I did over the summer for class. The photos are a little bad, but hopefully the intent it conveyed!

This triptych was a pattern based assignment and I decided to do a tribute to different eras of Japanese art. The left and right panels are based off ukiyo-e, the woodblock cuts popular during the Meiji era (see: Utamaro)  and the middle is a derivation of the yamato-e style from the Heian period (see: The Tale of Genji). I hid some subtle fanart within the panels as well. The right most panel is a reference to Rurouni Kenshin and the middle panel has some veins of Okami. Between the three panels I wove a tale of rain from three different perspectives.
