The only reason (not) to waste water.
Water consumption is a tricky topic. We all talk about it, we all say we are making an effort, but who are we kidding? Long hot showers are not something we want to part with. Ever.
There have been many attempts to make the public more aware of our water consumption, to no avail.
Until we stumbled upon this.
Yan Lu has created the Poor Little Fish basin-it's part animal torturer part environmentalist... confused?
Lu has broached the subject of water wastage by opting for an alternative, interactive design that makes consumption tangible.
When you turn the basin on the water in the bowl drains out, endangering poor little fishy's life. Once the tap is turned off, the water level rises again. (Thank goodness fish have a 3 second memory)
For all you animal activists, the water can never be completely drained, so no little fishes harmed in the making, Neemo lives on.
For the OCD individual, there is a separate water pipe to the fish bowl, used for washing your hands... You need not worry.
We can't imagine what it would be like smelling like goldfish food all day, or goldfish poop for that matter.
