MAY DWC 2023 Day 2 - Divine / Tragedy
---
Yan-Ya had always questioned why a woman such as Novidrea Solarwing had taken an interest in her. As far as she knew, they were on two completely different sides compared to one another. Novidrea was an enigma, wrapped up in elegance and a playful mischeviousness that she would use to captivate anyone who gave her even a slither of attention. While she too could be elegant herself, Yan-Ya had never thought of herself as any sort of personality that the elven woman would even be remotely interested in. And yet, she had been proven wrong many times. It wasn’t as if she disliked their friendship. Infact, she cherished it. Novidrea seemed incredibly interested in her abilities regarding astromancy, as well as being a regular at her shop. So when the invite was graciously handed to her, she barely had time to question the vague answer the sin’dorei had given her outside of knowing it was an incredibly lavish art gallery, and to dress incredibly fancy. --
Silver eyes lingered on each and every painting, taking in each brushstroke, each detail. When she thought of the subject of the gallery, nudity did not come to mind - but that was what expression was, wasn’t it? An artist’s own take on things, and Vixannya had done each piece so marveously. In fact, it was only when Novidrea took her arm that she finally tore her gaze away from the painting of the dracthyr reaching for the fireflies that illuminated his form.
“Do you want more of that?” Emerald eyes twinkled as dark-tinted lips curled into a coy little smirk. Yan-Ya felt herself blush as her friend laughed lightly beside her. “Because you’ll find much more at the after-party.” “Are we staying for that?” The pandaren asked, curious as to what would come once the initial opening had ended. “Of course! You didn’t think I had just invited you to experience the art, did you?”
What came next was something she couldn’t have even imagined. Water had been the second choice to stop in after Earth, to taste the delecacies whilst enjoying the performances and music. Everything had been divine. However, Yan-Ya found herself bound to the room of Air, her attention rarely leaving the aerial performers. It had taken Novidrea at least three attempts to try and snap her out of her trance, with another laugh to accompany it. They found a spot to sit together, entirely lost and caught up in the shows above them. At some point, Yan-Ya had finally torn her gaze away from the half-elven performer, before noticing Novidrea was no longer with her. She didn’t panic, the woman wouldn’t have gone far, and she made a few guesses that perhaps she’d gone to partake in a few other things in a different room. They hadn’t been to Fire yet....although the astromancer was quite content with staying where she was, a drink soon appearing in her hand as she became lost in that delightful trance once again.
