Bede

Obviously, Bede is a mess in person. He’s mean, yet clingy, yet constantly shoving his darling away. Secretly, he wishes for them to come to him, praise him, worship if they must. It’s what he deserves, but his darling has very different opinions about him than what he’d like them to think. He sticks around them as much as he can, doing his damn best to shatter them whenever they dare to battle with him. It might have been their success in beating him back when they were still kids that made him crazy for his darling, and his mentor Opal noticed too just how his feelings fall all out of his composure whenever he sees them.

Nobody could have known just how tricky his infatuation with his rival would be; no one wanted to see it. But it was there all along, and Bede makes good use of his fairies, helping him in coaxing and taking his darling away from anyone else. They are only his to admire, and they should only have him to admire too. No matter how badly he treats them, shoves his punishments down their throat as if he thinks they are confessions of love, and makes them cry, it has to be all about him. If he can’t become better than them, then they have to sink on his level, even if they lose themselves in the process, so they can be both mad in a wonderland that belongs only to the two of them

Leon

Leon simply became champion too early in life, didn’t have enough experience to live before that either, and suddenly, being champion is all he ever was. It’s a tough life, and he constantly loses his path in it, metaphorically as well as literally. The moment his darling freed him of this burden on him however, everything became clear and open for him. No more secrecy behind his back, and people using him. He had time to find himself, years even, and many things changed. Many, but not them. They grew up to be a new, better champion with more structure and support for their ideas, even from him, and Leon couldn’t help himself from falling in love with them over the years they worked together

They are like his better half, even if they don’t know yet. The tower that he built for his new purpose is now their love nest, and their battles are the fruits of their love. Leon is fine with holding back ever so often just to see them smile and jump into the air from happiness about defeating him. And when they finally look at him, he can see that they must be feeling the same that he does. Oh, he holds back for so long, no one would understand how it feels to be able to celebrate with them, taking them back to his room one night. His darling will be surprised to find old newspapers talking about their victories and projects of the past, alongside all the merch and tokens he collected over the years from them. It might scare them just how much of a fan he has become, yet, Leon won’t let them go that night, no matter if it scars them to see his obsession in his eyes, or not

♥ KitKat - What do they do to break their Darling?

Most likely, Bede won’t be able too. He’s way too emotional, screaming, and being the one to throw a tantrum or do something rash. He doesn’t have a lot of patience, and he isn’t really able to gain any respect that he wishes for desperately from his darling. Thus, they might never get tired of his doings, annoyed, sure, but not really into a position that will make them lose their mind or fight. If they aren’t strong-willed, maybe the time of his captivation is what will bring them to fall, or once he grows older his new actions may become unbearable, but he isn’t out to break them, and it shows

♥ Mochi - Do they believe in punishing their Darling?

Bede mostly believes in gaining respect. And there is nothing he wouldn’t try to get that. It moves from showing off, to being dismissive towards them, to punish them for not giving him the respect he deserves. So whatever is necessary to fulfill his desires, he will go through it, and it doesn’t matter if it needs to be as bad as showing them just how much a knife can hurt. He also has a big range on how he punishes them, from using the ever so expensive tools to his pokémon, there’s nothing that would make him go “Oh, maybe I shouldn’t”

♥ Dango - Do they prefer manipulation over a long time, or quick actions?

Quick, and mostly imprudent actions. As much as Bede wants to be seen as the great person, he thinks he is, after all, he still has a lot to learn and mature, and it shows in what he does. Their kidnapping is a simple spur of the moment, so is everything that follows. No one teaches you how to take care of someone, but Bede at least… tries. He has never been good with other people, it’s quite hard, but at least they won’t starve, even though they shouldn’t expect a balanced diet either
