Hi! I was wondering, after yandere^2's forum closed down, if you've made or considered making another one?
I haven't really been in contact with the forum for a long time now. Forums in general are an increasingly obsolete way of engaging with a community online, I've found.
Last I heard, part of the community has moved to an unaffiliated Discord server. If anyone knows more about this, please feel free to reblog/reply. Thank you.
Are you planning to translate yandere? Or to make something related yandere? Just asking...
Actually, I already do.
I share y2blog.tumblr.com with a friend (and we were pretending to have nothing to do with Yandere Daily up until recently - sorry about that, but you know how it is with online identities), and it should be the largest collection of yandere texts in English that currently exists on the entire Internet.
It includes:
More than 50 original yandere stories,
Quite a few articles and analyses on yandere,
A couple of translations from Japanese and Chinese yandere-related things,
A visual novel,
Yandere fonts,
Links to blogs, articles and stories/poems by others,
Reading recommendations for books that yandere-lovers are likely to enjoy,
A yandere story request service, and, of course,
Our webcomic, Yandere^2.
I’m even working on making this story about a yandere vampire (Carmilla) into a visual novel. It still needs about 40 more illustrations.
…So, what happened was that I left Yandere Daily behind to spend more time on creating yandere content of my own.
[Y^2 DaiRi] Night of the Summer Festival (Fanfiction)
Summary: After finding themselves too late to take part in the summer festival, Riko cheers Daiki up with the power of hairclips and stars.
((Disclaimer: We actually do own everything in this because it's our webcomic :3 -Amy))
The stars were starting to appear through the smoke left by the fireworks by the time they arrived.
"Wow, we're reaaaaally late!" Riko exclaimed.
"...Sorry." Daiki stared at his shoes, or, well, as much of them as he could see in the darkness. His hair hid even more of his face than usual.
"It's OK!"
Riko didn't seem the least bit upset, he thought - as though her entire being was built from sunshine and optimism with a hint of spring flowers. Instead of getting angry, as most people would have done, she kept smiling, twintails bouncing as she walked.
This didn't make him feel any less guilty. It had been his fault, after all, for fretting over preparations and missing the bus and then taking the wrong train and then sleeping past his stop and then...
Maybe Riko was actually smiling about the complete ridiculousness of everything he'd done wrong today. He could hardly blame her.
He was jolted out of his thoughts by her face suddenly filling his field of vision.
"Wh-wha-!?" He backed away hastily.
"Daiki-kun, don't be sad, OK?" Riko smiled innocently, as always. "Here, let's try this, OK?"
She reached out and swept the hair covering his face to one side, held it in place with a hairclip, then stepped back, humming in satisfaction.
This was the second time Riko had done this - how many identical daisy hairclips did she have?
Daiki just stood there, blushing furiously, until Riko tugged at his sleeve.
"OK!" Riko declared. "The stars came out, look!"
Indeed they had. In the clear sky, unobstructed by clouds or smoke or Daiki's hair, were countless stars, sparkling brightly against the night.
And yet, as he gazed up, he thought - none of them could outshine Riko.
So, I was just fiddling with my new smartphone (actually my mum's - she bought a new one and gave this to me), and decided to try out the fancy voice thing. This is it, Amy! I thought to myself. This is the future!
But of course, things went horribly hilariously wrong.
