2004 Zhengcang Chawang YGH from the #2018shengolympiad (@liquidproust). Overall medium-thick body. Wet aroma is leather and stone fruit, a bit of musk. The taste started soft and smooth with savoury notes dominating with a hint of cream and a nice cooling finish. It progressed with mostly savoury notes with hints of wood, leather and spice, a nice cream/milk note, a little sweetness as the session went on. Astringency built with each steeping. I can’t say I felt anything spectacular qi wise, but it wasn’t a fully relaxed and focussed session unfortunately! Sitting here writing this, a spicy note is enveloping my throat... that’s interesting!
