May I Propose an AU in which Xiazi didn’t actually find a strange (immortality) pill in a tomb and put it in his mouth, but tells people that he did because explaining that Cultivation is (was) real takes too long, and then people want to learn and immortality sucks actually, and he’s still banned from Heaven for at least another 400 years.
I'll forever be grateful for Xiao Zhan being in "Battle Through the Heavens/Fights Break Sphere" because while I originally watched it for him, I started with episode 1 to understand the story and I fell in love instantly. His role in it was fabulous, even if I think his character is a bit underused, but that can be said for all of the Yan Sect lol. That said, the reason I'm really happy about this is for finding a drama that I absolutely loved and mostly, for introducing me to Baron Chen, who plays the quirky Medicine Elder, Yao Lao. I wound up getting a friend of mine to watch it (she thinks Xiao Zhan is cute and wants to see "The Untamed" now) and she too is in love with Baron Chen and Yao Lao. Seriously though, this is a good drama, though it is a bit flighty in plot at times and there's a portion of it that drags on like a soap opera and I feel like a lot of parts are rushed. Twice I had to ask, "Wait... did he just defeat the bad guy or... what...??" Other than that it's brilliant and I highly recommend it. I did grab lots of caps from this too but I assume so did everyone else who’s seen it??

I've been slowing watching this with my sister over the course of about 2 years and we finally finished it early this year. Yao Lao and his fantastically big wig was definitely my favourite character and my second silver pen ran out doing all of that hair.
That smile can wash the darkness away.
