I still think abt how in the novel when they reunited after those four long years…Wang Xiaoshi was immediately stunned at how ethereal and beautiful Bai Choufei still was, how he was even more beautiful over the years.
Meanwhile Bai Choufei felt so aggrieved and detested him bc apart from his thinning hair, Wang Xiaoshi still looked like the same kind, likable person he was back then, unlike him who had changed…

Summary: Bai Choufei has finally managed to hurt her, it seems. They walk down the street as she suddenly stops at the entrance of a house and tugs at his sleeve to keep him from walking further. “It’s my birthday today,” she says hastily, as if wanting to get it over with before she changes her mind. He hesitates, regretting his snappish remark a bit. “Do you want to go somewhere?” He calculates his budget. There is not much left for this week. Lei Mei shakes her head and tugs at him again. “I want you to draw me like a lover would. Just this once. You know, like those famous painters and their muses.” She’s looking away, biting her lip.
Lei Mei tries to get Bai Choufei to see her as something other than a subject to draw, but keeps failing – or so she thinks.
