At my elementary (it was also my middle school) all we could take was Spanish. But at my current high school, the first two years you have to take Latin. Then in junior and senior year you can choose to continue Latin, or take German or Spanish. If you choose to take Latin for the full four years you get to learn some Greek during senior year!
