I like to think he sees Baldi as some sort of father figure

He cut his own hair
If he was a breed of dog he would be an old english sheepdog
Does most of his school work in his shop and occasionally in Baldi's classroom
Good at crafting
He made the little bobble head of baldi himself (going off the headcanon above)
He gets colds a lot, kinda why his voice is hoarse/raspy, either that or he's on testosterone. Probably both
