wind breaker ep 19:

ohhh my goodness, i wasn't emotionally prepared to see tsubaki's past animated!! there are so many character moments in this show/manga that mean so much to me, a lot of it hits really close to home - tsubaki especially. he's so near and dear to my heart and his whole journey is soooo important to me. i'm so so glad he found yui and ito who care about him and were able to teach him about things like fashion and makeup and just accept him for who he is. and later he found ume and the rest of the gang! it's so wonderful. i tear up just like nirei thinking about it all lol

a lot of the issues and themes in wbk are treated so seriously and with such care, it's one of my favourite parts of the franchise

i forgot about sakura panicking trying to find a way to help in ito san's house lmao, he looked so lost. plus i'll never get over his romance senses turning him bright red

overall a wonderful episode! i wonder if we'll see how ume and tsubaki met soon?

(side note: i'm so obsessed with tsubaki's boots, they're gorgeous)

wind breaker ep 20:

shizuka crashing into sakura was even funnier animated my goodness. also i forgot how much i loved her micro-bangs, she's so cute! the fights this episode were soooo good too!! incredibly animated, i always love how fluid they feel and how easy it is to keep up with them even in the manga

we got to see nirei's pill bug debut too!!!! i've been looking forward to the roly-poly tactic a lot :) suo taking care of nirei and training him is great, i love them together. suo's lil smile at nirei!! so good!!!

actually suo looked so good this whole episode and i'm obsessed with every time he gets even remotely serious, his va captures him so well! it's such a great contrast to his normal demeanour

roppo ichiza debut too!!! so many good moments and stuff this ep!!! the triple take on the slap was beautiful. i love kanji too, his va is very fitting and he's such an endearing character. ngl though i was way more excited for akihito, i love that lil guy even though he's not really around much. he's my emotional support background character (just like every wbk character lmao)

also i find it so funny that they keep featuring the wind chimes throughout season 1 and 2 but they haven't actually explained what they're hung up for yet in the anime, it's very good

wind breaker beach episode!!!!! this chapter was so cute! seeing everyone having fun and hanging out was wonderful and i'm so happy sugishita and sakura are both coming out of their shells more around the others. truly this is the power of nirei 🙂‍↕️

wind breaker ep 18:

we got to sakura in the flower field with his classmates! i'm genuinely so emotional over sakura finding a place where he feels safe and relaxed. i loved the confession scenes from the guys about what makes them lame too, the voice acting added a whole lot to the scene plus it was so funny. also suo's lil eye wobble at nirei saying natto and everyone jumping on it was great. and sakura's tiny laugh and smile at everyone messing around!!! that's my son!!!!! god this episode was sooo cute hehe

tsubaki debut!!! i know technically we've seen him before but i was so excited to meet him properly in the anime oh my goodness! and the twins!! also sakura's famous affection sensor kicking in was adorable

suo threating nirei in the post credits scene was sooo fucking funny too, his quiet little "nirei-kun" was so menacing Imao. what an episode made for me specifically (side note: ume looked incredibly soft and proud this episode, it was so cute)

wind breaker ep 17:

awww lil blushy sakura, he's so cuteeee! also i swear his room looks way smaller in this (it's been a while since i read the chapter for this ep though). anzai and co looked so worried when they handed over food for him, it was adorable

also i loveeeee kaji taking care of sakura in his own way, the speech he gave was so good. and ume at the end was great too! it was so funny when he started clapping hehe. plus the triple take one kaji punching him was such a good choice, it cracked me up

i don't wanna say it was a phenomenal episode again bc it feels repetitive but i really really enjoyed it! the voice acting and animation just adds so much to the story and that was already incredible to begin with

god what an entrance from tsubaki! I'm obsessed with him, he's so cool all the time. his theme is so good too!! i'm gonna be listening to it so much i can tell

ahhh the twins got to fight!!! i love them working together, especially with the big swing! all the angles were great, it felt like they had real weight behind them. and tsubaki fighting!!! he's stronger than me, i'd have broken an ankle in those heels for sure 

there was some really fun camera and angle work in this ep, it was really exciting! can't wait to see what happens next ep hehe

wind breaker ep 24:

another wbk meal!! i adore it when they're all sat down to eat together, it's wonderful. something something sharing meals with those you love and coming to love others through a shared meal... something something a meal tastes better when shared...

yamato endo!!! the mysterious man is no longer a mystery yay! god he's such a dork half the time, i forgot about him hurting himself while landing lmao

sakura yelling at endo had so much more emotion than i expected! i shouldn't have been surprised though, the voice acting in this is always stellar and sakura's va is phenomenal (both sub and dub). i did completely forget about nirei yelling at him though, that was a shock!

endo dodging everyone so gracefully was so fun, he's so annoying it's great. and suzuri trying to shoulder the weight of it all for everyone to get endo off their back's is so so good

loved how mad sakura looked this ep too! we don't normally get to see him so infuriated, it's cool to see

nirei going off at sakura during the lil post-credits moment was so fun! i love their dynamic so much it's so funny!!
