despite being very different in both personality and in what they embody, greed and solitude have and derive from a deep desire for connection but deal with it in different ways that are self-destructive [also unrelated but their colors are almost the same when inverted which is cool!]

greed views its desires as the only things that matter. it has already been blinded by what it has achieved and will never stop at anything, even if it realized it wanted to. it will do anything to not look back at what it has left behind or look at what is left of itself. it will only relish in whatever remains in front of it, maybe distracting itself, to fill a void that will never be filled, or never be satisfied

solitude has buried all its desires, especially its desire for connection, so deeply it is almost apathetic [or rather numb] to everything. it views desires and reaching for them as harmful as doing so has taught it to be, and in an attempt to protect itself and others it creates a belief that everything will end in the same way, into becoming nothing, and forever isolates itself. it wallows in its own misery and believes that this way of life is the best choice when really it is only hurting itself, burying itself deeper and deeper into a bottomless pit

their mindset involving ignorance/escapism in opposite ways....having everything vs having nothing.....and in the end they will never truly be satisfied....or truly be accepting of their lives......

also somewhat related but i think it is interesting that solitudes mindset exists because it DOES care. it cares for others so much that because it views itself as someone that only hurts others, it also views itself as the sole problem and forces itself into apathy so no one can get hurt by it. it justifies its actions, or rather the lack of it, by viewing its efforts as not mattering in the end when it really does affect the people around it.....whether it realizes it or not, those closest to it matter to it just as much as it matters to them [looks at the other embodiments👀] [this part also obviously applies to the player as well]

Any advice on how to draw hatred?

i dont rlly know how to answer this but if ur not that used to drawing it you should start out with its in game design since its stickman-like and makes you focus more on the fundamentals of its design I guess (its also just easier to draw in general)

I really really dont like drawing its legs either but its helpful to figure out how to draw digitigrade legs in general...or like the basics of how those are structured in relation to normal human legs (i dont bother drawing the feet cuz i just replace it with hooves LOL)

Also line weight helps a lot in its design…especially with its limbs (see the 1st image below)

also a minor thing that i wanted to share I like to draw its upper body (the torso part) somewhat like an S shape because it looks more fluid. also because hatred has bad posture

also NOTE ITS TAIL SHAPE AT THE END ITS NOT A REGULAR DEMON TAIL!!!! i keep seeing people draw its tail wrong and it is a little irritating
