And now guys, random scientific fact: frogs don't do well in cold temperatures. During winter their metabolism slow, and they fall into brumation/anabiosis n. Basically a state when they are unconscious and sleeping- though, not sleeping, actually. They freeze so much that they actually seem dead until spring.
listen, i can't say I'm on any particular ship in TADC (pun intended), because I'm mainly there just for the character and relationships study, but I want to call out any FunnyBunny shippers who thinks of chickening out after episode 6 events because i see a lot of "i don't think i can ship them after that" (spoilers ahead)
guys, their fight isn't a lose. It's actually a win - Glitch didn't just feed you and then broke the picture. You actually just witnessed the very good possibility of them being close as friends in all their conversations before: about trypophobia, about Ragatha and Gangle, Jax's archetype theory and his brief little smile to Pomni's hug before he pushed her away.
The fact that they fight? That's literally just Jax instinct to save himself from any heartache kickin' in, that's personal drama. Thinking that his words are far too cruel and harsh and he's being a bastard? WELL, THAT'S THE THING: when you scared of caring for someone, and they keep coming to you no matter how much you try to push them away or escape them, you will do all rights and wrongs to scare them off. Even with the most shitty and cruel words you can vomit out, and then regret it, and Jax showed it not once but twice with his "fuck-!" and attempt to call it a joke after he said that he will move on and forget, possibly thinking that Pomni felt miserable after that and it was too much for her (litteraly half of fandom thought she's gonna shoot herself)
And Pomni? SHE WAS LITERALLY READY TO FIGHT HIM TO PROVE A POINT AND JUMP OF THE SEAT TO CHECK ON HIM, AND RAGATHA LOOKS WORRIED TOO AS IF SHE KNOWS IT'S ABOUT JAX
This is not a fail, it's just Glitch showing how messy people can be and feel, and how messy it makes their interactions with others. They don't sugar coat any dialogues or romantizise(read: trying to make them more "beautiful" and poetic) them, whether they are motivational ones or a literal fight. For us they are maybe a web series characters, but those characters are considered as people.
So, don't chicken out because of their fight. Feeling uncomfortable with how hurtful were Jax's words or the fight itself? Imagine the possibility of how great it'll be if in some possible verse Jax gonna figure himself out or just if they will resolve this conflict, maybe developing a healthy friend/relationship after.
After all, shipping is a our fiction unless it's canon.
