i've started downloading fics i really love ever since one of my bookmarked fics got deleted and the author disappeared (though i lucked out and the author reappeared a few months later and reuploaded everything)

That's actually not a bad idea, and I certainly have the space for it. Maybe I will start doing that lmao.

gosh, mood. i'm not *too* bothered by the amount of ppl focussed on shipping cuz like whatever, i can't rlly control ppl's tastes. but if i have to read the phrase "there is no platonic explanation for this!" one more time i am going to start eating drywall! like, the boy has never had real friends before, of COURSE his feelings are gonna be intense (especially towards willow, cuz he got to know her the best, and because he sees her as almost an authority figure and would want to impress her). like, romantic attraction isn't the ONLY reason someone might blush or look up to somebody or be glad to see them. i'm not saying those things CAN'T be romantic, but romance isn't the ONLY possible reason, y'know?

for sure, yes!!! I'm so sick of people overlooking friendships and character development and plot and everything other than romance because while I don't think they don't intend it to be, it's a huge slap in the face! I have so many platonic crushes, no doubt I'd be blushing at anyone who is nice to me if I my face didn't refuse to get red. hunter has always been a very intense character and I doubt many people have been nice to him. I'm not saying huntlow is the worst thing ever or anything, it isn't, but it's not the only thing ever and I'm tired of people acting like it.

all this anon tomfoolery reminded me of this time like. 7 years ago when i first got tumblr. i played a prank on one of my friends (and i think some other blogs i followed) sending them anonymous messages asking them if they shipped potato and asparagus. and then pretending to be affronted that they had no clue what potsparagus was. 13 year old me acting like the conformatorium food fanfic lady but purely ironically.

holiday season? more like rereading "the worst candlenights ever" and fantasizing about doing that to my own family season. (seriously though, that fic never fails to make me laugh, there's just so many Golden parts. and reading it just feels so so so gratifying)

This is extremely specific, but when Labyrinth Runners aired: Amity. Oh my god. People were acting as if Amity's never demonstrated a large amount of social unawareness before and the amount of posts that were like "Amity's going back to her old self!" were ridiculous. Maybe she's just a little dumb <3

16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)

Philip Redemption Arcs scare me. Everyone has their own interpretations of the term 'irredeemable', but I'm fairly sure this man ticks that particular box no matter what.
