The rise of Frankencorn
my current aesthetic is cute little yarn ball, sitting in a mug snugly, with a crochet hook/pair of needles stabbed into it
31/5.2024 - a bit of yarn candy for myself from g-uld
these guys are roughly the same size! but also!!not the same amount of yarn!!
the guy on the right is about 130~ yards of yarn! while the guy on the left is about 240 yards!!
that's crazy?!!
that's because guy on the left is a thinner weight than the right guy!! needs a 3.0-4.5mm hook and weighs 100g! (A sport or DK weight!) but guy on the right is a 5.0-6.5mm hook person and weighs 50g!! (A worsted weight!)
have fun with your yarns everybody!!!
yarn haul ft my sibs' feet!!! 1st row is yarn for amigurumi mockups, 2nd is (incomplete) yarn for amigurumi itself! i also bought some new crochet hooks for more gauge possibilities. fuck. online shopping is so nerve wracking but also exciting as fuck.
victor e. seabiscuit says hi!
look at this boi! 2nd ami attempt. a lil seal for my bro. sewing the buttons and embroidering the lil mouth actually took me over an hour. tomorrow i’ll be stuffing it. hopefully it’ll be complete then T—T
i don't want a boy, mom, i want a sweet old lady who compliments my knitting and my crocheting and critiques my yarn choice and my color palette and when she hears me complain about how yarn is so expensive round this parts she gives me half of her yarn stash for me to make stuff with and she just encourages me to make more like how she did
