'In Her Footsteps' by Yarn Spinner (Itch.io)
WEIRD TUESDAYS
it is a nice day, because one of the pieces of photography in THE SHOP has sold, and because i am learning how to spin yarn out of the fur that grows on the bodies of animals. my very smart mother and i are ready to hang up our corporate-america hats and hang out with cool people all day, and so we have decided to learn how to spin yarn, so that we can provide organic and small-scale yarn making to local farms which raise furry animals. our lovely farm friends at SAFEHOUSE FARM/YE OLDE ALPACA SHOPPE have lent us a wheel and some fur to learn, and now so it is time for me to sit&spin, and listen to death cab for cutie (which, incidentally, they played at work yesterday, and which my supervisor was not familiar with, which is unsurprising but still sad).
GOODBYE(go listen to the album i made)
Does anyone else do this?
I like to keep a map of places I've shipped yarn to. No specific information about the buyer or the transaction, just the name of their city.
It's neat to think about all the different places that my yarn has gone to, or where a pattern i've created is being used.
Singapore is definitely the furthest away so far, but looking at this map makes me want to create more things and send them to far away places.
