#yarnlovechallengefebday24 :: LYS :: Unfortunately there aren’t any local yarn stores in my town anymore. 😢 We used to have three, but In recent years they’ve all closed. So I shop my stash! (It’s a good thing to do regularly because I frequently forget what I have!) 😆 I probably have nearly enough yarn in my stash to open an LYS myself! 😆 I would LOVE to do that someday!! ❤️

#yarnlovechallengefebday19 :: Notebook :: This is my Stash Notebook, wherein I keep samples & helpful data regarding the yarn in my stash! It’s like a tactile snapshot of what I have on hand at the moment and comes in VERY whether I’m designing a new pattern or planning a project! I especially love being able to touch and feel the yarn samples - makes a big difference as photos have only so much to tell!

#yarnlovechallengefebday18 :: Art :: Got these #artyarns Pearls in silver & Pearls and Sequins in gold when designing a wrap for my sister to wear with her wedding dress. I ended up going with a different yarn for the wrap, so I still have these beauties. I’ll come up with the perfect project for them eventually!

The rose was handmade by a local blacksmith and given to me as a Valentine’s Day gift by my sweet husband! 💗

#yarnlovechallengefebday16 :: Join :: My go-to join is to work two stitches with the old and new yarns held together, then continue with the new yarn. It blends beautifully, (you can only spot it if you already know where to look and you look REAL hard!😊) and holds up very well. I especially love how it maintains tension and stitch definition in my knitting - none of that irritating slipping and looseness to deal with! And I don’t mind weaving in the yarn ends! 😉😊

#yarnlovechallengefebday11 :: Smell :: Oh the wonderful sheepy smell of wool! This is my hand spun yarn made from some lovely Bluefaced Leicester roving purchased at the #marylandsheepandwoolfestival ! And the best part? Nobody thinks you’re strange when you’re smelling the wools and yarns at a #fiberfestival because they’re all doing it too!
