I was inundated with requests from the day I shared a gift I made.... so I left off for a bit. Let's see if I can catch you up. #yarnuary2020 day 8 : your knitting buddies. I have found amazing friends and women @handsonknittingcenter. But this little group of women have been by my side for over a year now (almost 2). I adore them and we are fast friends. We welcomed some new folks along the way, but these women are the core. I am so grateful for their presence in my life. We have grieved loss, celebrated new life, learned about our bodies, opened about our hearts, taught each other something, and always, always, always had hugs to give and phone calls to check in on rough days. I got off track but I am back. Day 7 of #yarnuary2020 prompt: how has #knitting changed your life? The first 2 pics are my right (dominant) hand after 3 months in a cast. I broke my hand in 2 places and due to my immune system, nearly lost use of my thumb. It didn't even look like a thumb anymore and I could not move it AT ALL. But I did the my fingers as I knit with that cast on. And once it came off, I kept knitting, slowly but surely regaining my use of my thumb. I regained 90%. I cannot imagine if I didn't have knitting "therapy" everyday. I knit the 3rd pic, of #wingsofnightbird while casted.
