Yato Relationship Headcanons

Character: Yato (Noragami)

Details: Yato x GN! Reader, relationship hc’s. Lot’s and lot’s of fluff

This is a college au/human au so in this Yato is NOT a God and is around the same age as you 

✑  He’ll randomly show up at your door holding flowers, he likes to change the flower every week as well. If you’re not home you’ll find the flowers at your doorstep or if you’re living in a dorm by the dorm door with a little blue sticky note that has your name on it with a heart.

✑  He loves listening to you talk about anything. It doesn’t matter if it’s about a random plant you saw on the internet or if it’s you ranting about your interests he adores it. He loves how your eyes light up when you start talking about something you love, or how you squeeze his hand just a little bit tighter while talking about how some idiot bumped into you and made you drop all your notes. 

✑  Adding onto the previous thing, he remembers e v e r y conversation y’all have. You talked about how you lost your pen last week? He bursts into your room hands you the pen you lost while saying something like “I found the pen you lost in your second lecture a week ago!” 

✑  Late night calls all the time. This started when he called you around 11:12 at night asking for help with an assignment for a class y’all had together. You just so happened to be working on the same assignment when he called and it became a thing for both of y’all to call late at night and do work or just talk. 

✑  He really enjoys back hugging you (is that the word?). If your shorter than him then he rests his head on your shoulder. He’ll back hug you then bend back and try his best to pick you up while you’re just kinda sitting there trying to keep conversing with whoever you were talking to.

✑  He blushes really really easily. When you first started dating you went to grab his hand and he turned into a tomato in record time. 

“Yato? Are you okay, you’re really red?”

“What are you talking about? I’m not red at all!”

✑  One time you got a text from him that had his location and the word help. Panicking you rush over to where he said he was, only to find that he got his right arm stuck in a vending machine trying to reach the bag of chips that got stuck. 

You left him there for another 30 minuets for making you worry.

✑  He uses staring contests as an excuse to stare into your eyes. 

“Y/N, Y/N, Y/N! Let’s have a staring contest!”
