I find it dissapointing that there are barely Yautja fics where the reader is a Yautja.. Let me change that for this one~
Gn! Yautja! Reader x Yautja mate (I might want to add that no matter how much I read into it I just can't get a good grasp on the species.. So it will likely have inaccuracies)
When your mate came home they did not know what they did wrong.. You simply ignored them the entire day! Was it because they didn't nuzzle you on their way out? Didn't they reply a purr? What could've possibly made you ignore them?
Fact is they are distraught, and the only way to fix it was that if they brought back a good hunt! Like any good Yautja! Yes it did take a while.. And yes they got a fre good scratches from it but nothing they can't be proud of now that they have a Xenomorph head!
They were so excited to show you! Hopefully you accept it! Once back home and ignoring all the Yautja staring curiously at the trophy they get to their home. You still there and not even looking
They click as they walk up to you. Walking up slowly and then you turn, certainly you are surprised when you see it, your mate in a state that shows they have been through a lot getting the Xenomorph head.. And doesn't that make you just swoon?
You click and purr as you eye the head as your mate put it down somewhere for now, you pull your mate into closer with a happy and content purr, you won't let them get away now after all the trouble they went through
Yautja reader again! Because I want to~~ (and yes, Yautja's are still a mystery to me despite researching)
When your feet hit grassy grounds and dirt you knew you landed safely, earth. A planet that either smells humid or dry, currently it's humid, the forest around you was thick and the ship landed in a clearing away from prying human eyes. You landed here with your mate to hunt as the last one had been some time ago and the others became judgemental about it.
You look back towards the ship and make a clicking noise "Are you coming?" You ask as your mate checked over the equipment that the two of you brought along.
"Just checking the last few things" they reply with a soft hiss eyeing over some tech and weapons for the last time before joining you "earth's weather, currently raining" they grumble looking around, pitter patter of water droplets hit the leaves and the earth around you, little animals hiding from the rain for shelter.
When it came to a place to hunt the galaxy was wide open, yet humans were ever fascinating. Always able to safe themselves from extinction despite their every action saying otherwise, survival in such a feeble body should be impossible and yet they do.
"Lets get on with it. This planet reeks of foulness" the mandibles of yours click agitated, this planet would be pretty if not for the pest living on it "ever the joyful Yautja you are beblooded" they say amused, mandibles flickering as if smiling.
Walking into the forest to look for prey was long, it was dark out so many humans have looked for rest inside their homes but from what you and your mate have learned, humans had a society build on work, some day and some at night, someone was always awake.
Checking the heat scans there seems to be a few houses about a few metres away, the edge of a small town if the map you brought along is right, that thing was ancient so no one would be surprised if it were completely wrong... "There is a house with two humans and a dog" your mate summarieses their finding of the area, a specific house that seems to be properly prey.
"We have to wait until they are awake.. Wouldnt be a proper hunt if we got them in their sleep" you grumble as this meant you had to stay longer than you wanted to, but oh well.. Eating some raw meat from the earth wildlife was a small pass time, your mate found the rabbits in the area to be the must delicious, in their top three in fact, something about how the meat is juicy.
"Remember when we trained together?" Your mate began to click as they munched on a rabbit, mandibles flickering around the dead animal with care "why are you talking about it all of a sudden?" "I just thought back on it. You were so stubborn back then" they muse putting the rabbit away for now to look at you. Back then on Yautja Prime life was hard, training to become a blooded and then a warrior. Given that training was difficult and grueling, something you'd rather avoid if possible.
"Pfff.. Thats right. No way I listened to grumpy old Yae'ke about how to hold a weapon" You hiss out "I found him quite sweet... Then again he did favour me as his nephew i guess" your mate thought about it, their uncle has always showed favouritism among them all in the group. For better or worse. "Favouritism puts it lightly. Either he liked you and was easy in you or he disliked you and put you through a lot of pain. His mood swings are worse than a brooding Yautja" is what you reply with as it is no secret that their uncle was a menace in the clan.
"I either pitied you or was angry, depending on what your uncles mood was for the day" you add with a huff as you look up to see how the moon slowly slettled down, soon the sun was up and there will be humans out to hunt a-plenty.
Your mate sighed too "yea I get it, but you still stuck beside me, telling him off and pulling every punishment onto yourself instead" it wasn't something you were prideful off back then, it came to you as easy as a Yautja hunting. It was self explanatory to help them. What Yautja would you be not helping your clan out? A coward that is what you think at least.
"Enough chit chat, time to hunt some humans" you scoff getting yo and your mate following you every step of the way
