how strange, to hear doppio speak with a bit more formality. tabitha wouldn't think too hard about it right now, though. she'd taken her to the office, and thank god she happened to have a first aid kit on hand, carefully nestled into her desk until she'd brought it out to tend to the other's wounds. when @epitaffia rises with the intention of leaving, though, tabitha isn't quite ready for the two of them to part.
"wait a minute," she says, brows furrowed as she straightens her back. there's a pensive uncertainty about her - it's different from her usual air of disdain and grumpiness, though one might not inherently tell the difference with someone like tabitha. admitting she cares for other people is difficult and embarrassing, so she makes do by walking up to doppio, staring up at her as if the height difference between them is nothing.
"i'm not letting you off the hook that easily, doppio. you should really stay for a second so i know for certain that you won't run off again." after a pause, she can't help but ask, "why did you go down there, anyways? did stella put you up to it?"
