Musée du Louvre!!! The last stop for my busy day. 9:40 - Paris Big Bus Tour 11:40 - get to the Palais Garnier (l'Opéra) and find a tiny sign saying it was shut 11:40 - angrily wander over to Galeries Lafayette and buy a chocolate and passion fruit macaron to comfort myself 12:00 - head to the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch 1:30 - enjoy myself at Musée Grévin (aka. Paris Wax Museum) 2:30 - head to the Grand Palais only to discover they only have temporary exhibitions that you have to book ahead for. Oh well - it was pretty on the outside! 3:30 - treat myself to a manicure! That's right - I, Rebekah Carroll, have not bitten my fingers since I got my acrylics off over a month ago. So I decided to celebrate with a manicure!!! Yay! 4:30 - enter the Louvre 8:15 - exit the Louvre and head back to the hostel Slightly disappointed that I didn't beat my record time in the Louvre - 8 year old Bek wandered 5 hours - however I feel my excuse is mildly valid (I no longer have the unsurgeryified legs of an 8 year old, and ergo cannot wander the Louvre for 5 hours at a time). All in all a great day! Missed having company if I'm honest but that's okay!!! Excited for my busy day tomorrow!!
