Funny to know how Kadaj's name means imperfect and it explains his whole motivation and plot.
Yazu Reference sheet for my Digimon story! Finally got to add the text on this, had this laying around for some time now, since the shading was just a simple one. Thanks to @volbeast for the sketches of my boy!

Today's virtual plein air was in Japan!
AJ never regrets her decision to stay with her Digimon partners. Still, sometimes she would be plagued by terrible homesickness. Yazu is always there to give her comfort, of course because he cares for her, but also because he feels partly responsible.

As Impmon, AJ had treated Yazu very often like a cat, including scratching him. Even as Beelzemon he still loves this kind of attention from her.

Uhhh, I just love the ideas I got today for the final parts of the second arc in my Digimon story. I usually follow the stories of N0 and CS/HM, but for the latter I want to give AJ and her Digimon their own final scenario. Like, I don't wanna say who the final 'boss' will be, since I still need to figure out how to sell it the best way, but I already got the idea that they can see into the protagonists hearts and tells them clearly what troubles them, mostly to manipulate them. (Yazu's and Argus' troubles are connected to previous lives, before they became AJ's partners)
Yazu: Beat and battered for not doing as you were told, for trying to be your own person, you know strive to do anything to please your new mistress.
Argus: Always did your best, always helping others, but in the end you were taken advantage of and left alone. Now you are slothful and only do something when a reward is clear in sight.
AJ: Not feeling like yourself in your own skin, not knowing which route you wanna go and losing all those you cherish on your way. Desperately you try to find you place and this and other worlds, but all the search still feels fruitless.
I love these so much, because especially for Yazu and Argus they would explain a lot of their character traits and behaviors.
