The sound of ice skates crashing on the ground echo loudly throughout the ring.

She's there again.

trying the same routine, the same skill she can't perfect.

The sound of ice skates crashing on the ice gets louder. Another attempt and she fails again

ultimately falling to her knees, head in her palms in despair. she gets up hits the ice in frustration and walks to the side hoping it would calm her down

He's watching. He always was.

He watched her, same spot, every time he was back in Hongkong.

everything feels the same but it's all different. He's not the same star hockey player anymore. He went. he left. 5 years ago he ghosted everyone and went off the radar.

he'd sworn he moved on but something (or someone) kept pulling him back. the words not said, actions not understood, the things he played out wrong all haunt him and for some reason it all happened here at this exact skating ring. But what could he do? he was just 15 with a dream.
