For those of us who are locked into my backrooms series "No-Cliiped" (i know i only have 2 parts out rn but it honestly is looking like a decently longish project. for noe)
Just wanted everyone to know i'm working on pt 3 rnnnnnnn. I might lowkey make a tag so people can find it easier (or js make a masterlist....) anyways
I'm so proud of myself for coming up w such a brilliant idea (TO MY KNOWLEDGE IT HASN'T BEEN WRITTEN BY ANYONE BUT ME)
IN SUMMARY : Dispatch releases a statement claiming Kwon Ohyul & Y/n L/n are in a relationship. Absolutely no one believes it. Here's the thing...Kwon Ohyul & L/n Y/n are actually in a relationship.
Pause ⏸ : I feel like my writing style / tone gets inconsistent here. But that might just be because i've reread it so much my brain is in mush or i was js too excited to have em be cute but too lazy to get there yk? Taglist is open!

It took Jay Park exactly three days to call a meeting.
The conference room consisted of a few people, the most notable being you, Ohyul, your managers, and your CEO, who was currently laughing so hard he was wiping tears from his eyes.
"Of all the people who'd get caught in a dating scandal," he wheezed, "I never thought it'd be you two."
Ohyul rolled his eyes, an annoyed pout settling on his lips.
Though it had been his idea to keep the relationship a secret, he still couldn't understand why nobody believed it.
Sure, his girlfriend was amazing.
She was an incredible singer and an even better producer. She could pull off any concept thrown at her and somehow make it look effortless. She was brilliant, funny, beautiful—
"…Ohyul."
—and she had really pretty eyes.
"…Ohyul."
And a really pretty smile.
"OHYUL."
A sharp pinch landed on his thigh.
"OW!"
He jerked upright, staring at you in betrayal. You stared right back.
"Were you even listening?"
"...Maybe?"
You pointed toward the front of the room. Only then did he notice the presentation already pulled up on the screen.
How long had he been zoning out?
Jay let out another laugh. "Exactly my point."
One of the managers cleared their throat. "As we were saying, we're suggesting the two of you go along with the rumor."
You immediately sat up straighter. Ohyul tried, and failed, to hide his smile.
"We'll release an official statement confirming the relationship. From there, we'll arrange content together; couple vlogs, joint livestreams, behind-the-scenes footage. The works."
You and Ohyul exchanged a quick glance before refocusing on the screen.
"The goal," your manager continued, "is to make the public believe you're actually dating."
…..
"Oh."
"Oh."
Neither of you could exactly argue with that.
Across the table, Jay looked between your expressions and laughed again. "Why do you two look like you're being sentenced to death?"
—
A few hours after the meeting, you and Ohyul had settled into one of the more private practice rooms. You were laid against him, head on his chest, both of you mindlessly scrolling through his phone.
"So…" he started. "Fake dating, huh?"
You could hear the amusement in his voice without even looking up.
"You think you're so funny," you muttered.
"It'll be easy," he smiled into your hair.
You paused, sitting up so you could actually face him. "Ohyul. I love you, but you are terrible at being affectionate on camera."
"I'm not—" He started to argue. You pressed a single finger to his lips. He stopped immediately, eyes dropping to your hand, then back up to your face.
"You know I'm right."
A long pause. Then a sigh so deep it came from his entire body as he slumped back in his chair.
"...So we might be a little fucked."
Fast forward two weeks.
It was a Friday evening and your debut promotions had finally come to an end.
It had been weeks of dancing and performance stages and interviews to boost your group, Catalyst. Not that you weren’t grateful, being able to debut and do the things you loved with your best friends was more than you could ever wish for.
You were just exhausted.
Which is why you’d been looking forward to spending the weekend relaxing with your group members, and hopefully getting in touch with your boyfriend.
However, those plans were quickly disrupted.
“Go wear this,” your manager, Nara, a young woman only a few years older than you, instructed, tossing an outfit over you.
You gasped in surprise at her sudden entrance. To your knowledge, the rest of the girls had gone to bed early and you were the only one left in the living room.
“What the–” you spoke in confusion, pulling the clothes off of your face.
“We’re gonna be filming you and Ohyul tonight.” She informed, sitting down next to you on the couch and opening the schedule on her ipad.
“Isn’t it a bit late?”
“Dates at night are getting more popular online,” she shrugged. “Besides, we have more filming to do this weekend so we chose to get started tonight.”
“Filming? I thought promotion time was overrrrrr” you dragged, head falling back on the couch.
“I meant filming for you and Ohyul,” Nara rolled her eyes before pulling you up. “Now go change. I don’t want us to be late.”
You grumbled but moved, quietly changing in your room so as to not wake up Isol, then heading back out.
Nara led you to a car parked in front of the building and then you were off.
—
You got off at the Han River which was mainly empty.
A first.
There you met the rest of the camera crew and Ohyul.
He’d been sniffling, nose pink, hugging a thin blanket to himself for warmth as he spoke to some staff while waiting for you.
You smiled and looked at your manager as though asking for permission and she nodded you over, more interested in the coffee table.
You happily walked over to your not-so-fake fake boyfriend.
At the sight of you, he immediately brightened up, arms about to open up for a hug before pausing.
“Would it be weird to hug you even though we’re technically supposed to be fake dating?” He asked once you got close enough.
“...We could say it's for practice?”
He seemed to be pleased with the answer, drawing you closer to hug you. You finally allowed yourself to relax in his arms. Though this wasn’t the relaxing weekend you’d planned in your head, you were getting to see your boyfriend regardless.
A win is a win.
“Alright everyone!” One of the directors called out, getting the attention of the whole crew. “We’re here to film a late night picnic date. I know it's late but let's maintain high energy and get this done fast!”
The small crowd cheered in support before dispersing to their specific stations.
Soon enough, you’d been surrounded by a hair and makeup team.
There wasn’t much to change, your braids were put into a loose low bun, and they lightly concealed your eye bags. All to maintain a sleepy, effortless look.
Ohyul had it easy. He was already pink from the slight chill in the air so they just styled his hair a bit to keep it more messy.
You were then miced up and handed a camera by the director.
“We’ll be filming you guys but we also think it's best that you guys film from your perspective as well,” he explained to you both. “Just to give the fans a more personal view of everything alright?”
And with that you were sent off.
It was weird walking around with him knowing so many eyes were on you, expecting you to play up the romance.
It made it incredibly difficult to be affectionate at all.
"How do you think we should start the video?" You mumbled, turning the camera so it recorded you both.
Ohyul ran a hand through his hair. "Well, what kind of couple are we doing?"
"What do you mean what kind?"
"Like what's our thing."
You wanted to argue that you already did have a thing. However, the fans, and the crew were not yet aware of that so you kept your lips sealed.
"Playful?" you offered.
"We're always playful."
"So it'll be easy."
"Or we'll try too hard and people will think we’re being fake."
You looked at him flatly. "You’re actually mental,"
"I'm just—"
"What if we just act normal."
"We are acting normal."
"Then why are we having this conversation?"
He paused. "...Good point."
—
The convenience store was a short walk from the river. You’d both finally agreed to buy snacks first and do more talking once you’d settled by the river.
You were already in the snack aisle before the door had fully closed behind him.
He grabbed a basket without being asked, following you around like a lost puppy.
You reached for shrimp crackers and tossed them in the basket. He added triangle kimbap and tteokbokki without looking at you.
"I don't want tteokbokki." You mumbled, reaching to take it out of the basket.
"It's for me."
"Then hold your own stuff."
"I'm holding the basket."
Your lips parted at his audacity, about to reprimand him when he just walked off with a smirk further down the aisle.
You turned the camera on him, speaking like a narrator.
“Mind you, he can't even handle the spicy tteokbokki. He’s just doing this to spite me," you said quietly.
"I can hear you."
"I know."
With a small laugh, you followed him into the next section of the convenience store, the camera crew following quietly.
Next? Drinks.
He held out a bottle of vitamin water, a knowing smile on his lips
"I don't want thatttttt," you dragged once more. It was like he hated you or something
"It's good for you."
"Get the sprite."
He shook his head in disagreement.
You raised an eyebrow, covering your mic before whispering something to him quickly.
Once you stepped back, he put the vitamin water back and grabbed a bottle of sprite immediately. No argument was given but even the camera could pick up the light flush on his face.
You took it without looking up from the ramyeon you had picked up.
"What flavour is that?" he asked, leaning over your shoulder to get a closer look. You could practically hear the relief in the camera crew's bones as they captured this moment.
"Habanero lime," you held it up closer so he could see it better.
“Sounds gross,”
You nodded in agreement, switching the purple pack for the red 2x spicy buldalk you usually bought.
“Lets go pay?” You confirmed, looking up at him as he ensured you had everything.
“Yea”
—
Outside, the river stretched out ahead. The crew had already set up the blanket and lighting.
The both of you had fully forgotten the camera even existed, fully focusing on the food.
You had corndogs, drinks, noodles, tteokbokki and more snacks scattered on the checkered blanket.
No one spoke for a while and the staff started to wonder how they were going to pull off the fake relationship. Then Nara stepped up, getting your attention.
“Guys, you still have to talk, remember?” she reminded you both.
“We don’t know what to talk about,” you shrugged. Back to square one.
Nara shrugged, “I dunno, how did you first meet? How does the relationship work? Literally anything”
With a sigh, you turned the camera back on, facing it towards you both.
“Hello camera,” you waved, Ohyul doing the same. “Since this is our first public date ever, we thought it would be a good idea to explain how we met,”
Ohyul nodded along some more.
“And Ohyul is gonna do that for us,” you grinned sweetly.
He paused, pointing to himself in surprise. “Me?”
You nodded back rapidly, a mischievous smile on your lips. “Don’t tell me you forgot?”
He playfully glared at you but cleared his throat. "We met as trainees."
It was simple enough. He reached over, setting his food down properly, like he was taking this seriously. His hands settled in his lap.
"Y/n transferred under More Vision maybe a year or so before my debut was even confirmed. We were just... around each other a lot." A small shrug. "Same building, same practice schedules sometimes, and eventually we got close."
You said nothing. Just watched him, your corndog forgotten, chin resting in your hand.
"We were really good friends for a long time." He nodded slowly, finding his footing. "And then it was getting close to debut and we were talking one night and I just—"
He stopped.
Scratched the back of his neck.
You smiled.
The tips of his ears went pink so fast you almost felt bad.
But you couldn’t help the quiet laugh that left you. You loved when he got like this. Shy and embarrassed and pink.
"Something just clicked," he finished quietly.
The crew had gone very still in the way people do when they don't want to break something.
"He's leaving out the part where he did absolutely nothing about it," you pointed out to the ‘viewers’ behind the camera, a grin on your lips.
"I was getting there—" he pouted.
"For a while."
"I was—" a short laugh escaped him and he dropped his head, one hand coming up to cover his face briefly. The blush had fully reached his cheeks now. "Okay. Yeah. I didn't say anything for a bit."
"A bit?" you teased.
He pointed at you, accusingly. "You confessed first."
"I had to." You scoffed.
"So technically," the corner of his mouth pulled up, "you pursued me."
You laughed, the sound swallowed up by the soft noise of the river. "I didn't pursue you. I just got tired of waiting."
He was looking at you now, fully pink, trying very hard not to smile.
"Same thing," he said softly.
—
Filming wrapped not long after. The director was happy, moving through the crew with handshakes and praise until he reached you both.
"Really nice story, you two." He smiled, shaking his head a little. "One take. If I didn't know better I'd have thought it was real."
He laughed as he walked away.
You and Ohyul looked at each other.
Kept very straight faces.
The river filled in the silence where the crew used to be.
When it was just you, you moved closer, tucking yourself against his shoulder. He opened the tteokbokki and held a piece up without asking.
"I didn't think it'd be that hard," he said, amused.
You nodded in agreement as you ate. “It’s like my body refused to be affectionate with so many people watching.”
He smiled, “You do hate pda.”
“You know,” You laughed, sitting up to face him, “you always get so pink telling the story of how we met.”
He rolled his eyes, “Come onnnn,”
“I’m serious,” you dragged, a bright smile on your lips.
“Yea well,” he moved closer, placing his forehead against yours. “You always get this look whenever I tell it.”
You smiled, “I can’t help it. My boyfriend's too pretty for me to not look,”
His head dropped to your neck, unable to hold eye contact with you any longer. He said nothing but peppered light kisses along your neck.
“Now why couldn’t you have been this sweet on camera?” You hummed, pushing him back so he was facing you once more.
“This version of me is for you and you alone.” He insisted.
“Silly boy,” you whispered.
"Sweet girl," he murmured, then closed the space between you.
IN SUMMARY : Dispatch releases a statement claiming Kwon Ohyul & Y/n L/n are in a relationship. Absolutely no one believes it. Kwon Ohyul & L/n Y/n are actually in a relationship.....
Pause ⏸ : Yes this will be a series. Yes i have the next 2 parts planned out in my head (i just have to commit). No i didn't proofread my work. I probably should....
This feels like it should be such a non issue but i just wanted to ask everyone for their opinion.
I am a black girl, more on the dark skin side. Which is why in 95% of my stories, when i need a picture to represent y/n or the reader i use someone who is black as well.
Does this sometimes make it weirder for me to imagine the scenario? Yes. Because in 2026 I feel like the idea of having a black member (*cough* katseye *cough*) is still so foreign to so many people. (I’ve seen too many disgusting comments about Manon’s race)
So sometimes I wonder if i should js give up and use white profiles for my reader but as i’m writing this i realize more and more how absolutely stupid that is 💀
Like why tf would i stop writing my readers as black just cause majority of kpop fanfic don’t do it???
Okay, i’ve come to my senses. This isn’t to offend anyone, i was genuinely thinking deeply about this for a few days but who cares
Its fan fiction
FICTION
Life is never that deep
Not me giving myself an answer through talking to myself 💀
Fyi, if it wasn’t obvious, unless stated or implied otherwise, assume the reader is black in my fics. I never make it toooooo relevant to the plot so it doesn’t really matter but yea 🤷♀️
ANOTHER THING
Why are so many of the Black reader fics I find smut 😭
Maybe I'm overthinking it, but it does feel a little weird that a lot of the limited Black reader content out there ends up being 18+ stories. I don't know. It just feels like there should be more varie yk?
I MISS MY MAN 😭 I’ve been watching so much cortis content (love them all to bits) BUT I MISS OHYUL 😭 (and all the other members of lngshot duh) BUT OHYUL 😭
can someone write a fanfic with cortis where the reader is in the studio with the other boys when they're making the song tnt and then martin and keonho do their harmonization thingy at the end but its just so good that they blow up.
