With a nod to fetish clubs and the Japanese bondage art of shibari, Fernandes’s performances will explore notions of desire, labor, and power through choreography drawn from classical ballet and modern dance. Karsten Sollors provides music, and guests may also enjoy the opportunity to view the exhibition "Implicit Tensions: Mapplethorpe Now," honoring the groundbreaking work and sustained legacy of Robert Mapplethorpe.
