Weeeeeeell......... look, for the most part, I did enjoy the scenario. I liked what they had Rayan say about art and interpretations. Very much how I feel about art, personally, so I did enjoy that part. Just actually having a ‘class’ scenario was also good, considering I felt that towards the end of MCL we were really starting to lack that basic sort of world building, considering there was so much focus on drama and not so much on the high school aspect.

What I didn’t feel comfortable with was the almost forced rose-coloured light given. I mean, I’m glad we can actually say that ‘no, he’s just a teacher’, instead of how in ep1 even if you tell Chani that, she thinks you’re lying and interested in Rayan. But that’s after answering questions and receiving ‘special looks’ and whatnot. 

I just... I don’t know. Some particular sentences are obviously there for romance purposes... and I don’t like how Candy and Rayan were standing so close all flushed and stuff when it’s literally only episode 2. Also the whole ‘hot teacher only talks to new student and gets the jealousy of every other student’. It’s not my thing, and it seriously reinforces my idea they don’t have a longterm plan for MCLUL, if it’s already getting hot between characters in episode 2. Like, it’s rushing a little too much for my liking, anyway. 

Yeah. I just didn’t feel comfortable with it. I wasn’t comfortable anyway in the first episode with the interaction, and subsequent comments from Chani. I just hope that continually blowing off any attraction to everyone else pays off, and cuts off a romance route. 

I’m also worried that inadvertently raising everyone else too fast (because of lom requirements for illustrations mostly) will lock me out of stuff with Castiel, just like how that happened for when Lysander was introduced.
