the problem with tumblr is that it thrives on triangulation and "he said she said and she said and they said and what do you have to say about that??" which means there's no room for actual discussions bc everything is just fuel for the grindstone and there are no post filters so you can avoid spamming people who Don't Want the discourse. it's just a reaction sphere built off of emotional outbursts.
