thoughts about ogad siffrin. i think unifrin works in two separate parts: siffrin, and the universe. yeah, sif IS still the universe, but he’s also still human. and their human brain couldn’t handle having ALL information that exists in his head at once, so.
it split into two parts: the universe, the autonomous part that keeps the world running, and siffrin, the human. i guess it’s sorta like left brain and right brain, just on a cosmic scale.
siffrin DOES have access to the universe, in a limited way their brain can understand, but he can barely grasp even that, and they can’t talk to it directly. however! he has access to the very basic functions of the universe, that probably being limited future vision, limited? omniscience (like seeing people’s thoughts and feelings and stuff), and. wishes.
the universe, from siffrin’s experience of being Fucked Over by it, knows that wishes can’t be granted objectively. so, it has a sort of quality assurance process – it will grant wishes objectively, then pass the wish onto siffrin and they can tweak it from there.
which is all a very convoluted justification for why evren has a worse time in dormont than canonfrin does.
because at this point, siffrin still very much hates her. soo. i think evren gets a sort of hard mode. tears aren’t available until maaybe the third floor, and even then, they aren’t easily accessible. keys are much more well hidden (and loop isn’t willing to give her memory of keys, thinking she has everything the same is just dawdling), requiring several dozen loops to find. nostalgie might not even exist or if they do, they’re very hard to fight. bosses are almost guaranteed loops.
i think maybe, when she finally spills to loop just how hard it’s been for her, they change their tune a little. sure, they still don’t like her, and sure, siffrin is impeding a lot of their progress, but they’re a lot more helpful. because. wdym the torment nexus has been made even more tormenty by your god which hates you???
i dunno. just. thoughts i had. i hope they’re somewhat enjoyable
