Tenebres AU - Hifumi Yamada

Hifumi in this AU is a hamster familiar, his Mark of Change (Something all familiars have that visibly identifies them as being such) is a downward arrow on his tummy. 

Killing Games Age:

He’s very average for a mage, not particularly excelling in any form of magi, going to a school for familiars and not exceeding with his magic or gift for writing much past that.

Hifumi much prefers the company of commonfolk to magefolk, given the lack of expectations placed upon him by regular people as opposed to his own kind. He meets Celestia this way, given she’s a commonfolk vampire hunter.

Likely her first and only interaction with him in his human form went so horribly for Hifumi that he decided to only interact with her in disguise as a hamster. Through countless efforts, he finally convinced her with his charm and cute hamster looks to keep him around after kicking his hamster ball hyperbolically into the sun so many times.

He’s let it slip that he’s y’know, human, a few times, so Celestia has had a few mind wipes. He tends to do this to practice confessing to her, only for it to go horribly wrong, and he consequently erases her memory of him ever attempting it.

Older:

Eventually YES he does get his confession out, but only at knife-point after Celestia eventually figures out what he’s been doing to her. She ends up keeping him around for his magic which is very Poggers to him. :) He also does the writing and the cooking and the cleaning in this relationship.

He’s obviously in his human form a lot more as an adult, growing more confident to stand up for himself around Celestia and speak his mind. Usually they’re just love confessions.

He’s still pretty subpar at magic but when Celestia’s in danger, he’s usually able to sputter up a lot more powerful of spells to protect her.

They eventually have a kid together and Hifumi gets to experience nice!Celestia when she’s expecting. :) He holds it against her how nice she was to him when she was pregnant.

Celestia probably hates his mustache but he keeps it out of playful spite.
