back when i was drawing these i was reading MLP comics that featured baby Spike and/or Celestia + Spike together and i just thought wow!!!! she's kinda like his mommy before the Sparkle family takes over that role 🥹

some drawrings i made a while ago toying with the idea of the original Darkrai maybe being able to possess Raia (who is Darkrai post-epilogue in Explorers PMD story) sometimes :)

her partner is Azurill from the game's story!! <3

because its confusing and im terrible explaining anyway and im being evasive with my plans i doubt i'll ever blossom to completion,,,, so apologies lol,,,,,, but my headcanon for hero/partner is that they reincarnate all the time and are always destined to save the world,,,,,,,,,, they have the same gist characteristics but personalities and individualism/soul changes with the incarnation. however the human to pokemon and mew to partner pokemon are like a 1:1 on soul personality,,,,,,,,,,,,,, so like everyone assumes Raia is the 1:1 transformative yet still the same core individual scenario,,,,,,,, unless!!! 😳

finished my Rarity (and fam) design(s) finally :)

ive had the headcanon for a while of Rarity being albino (to kinda explain why her parents named her that) and i added more recently that she's a bit robust from her ice cream binge problem lol,,,, also probably grew up spoiled with a mom that bakes and a rich dad.

i'd recently been jumping around the mlp comics and got around to the Nightmare Rarity one and i kinda fixated on the little detail that the nightmare forces convince Rarity to become their new host/queen by preying on her vanity/insecurities regarding abandonment (and appearance??????) so hehe i had the idea that they offer her like unmatched beauty or something :3c (not to say that she'd lack it to begin with but she herself would think that and requires betterment yknow what im sayin) sooooooo her friends all save her and assure her all these doubts she has are meaningless etc etc, they save her and shes left with this huuuuuuge permanent blotch of imperfection on her previously pure white fur, but shes more ok with herself now so it serves as a reminder of sorts for her to never lose sight of herself hehe.

i figure rarity stylizes/dyes her mane and tail in a variety of ways which i failed to really display here, just imagine it lol. also (NEGATIVE MLP OPINION WARNING!!!!) ive always kinda Not Enjoyed rarity's family for a variety of reasons in how like, different their designs are in ways that matter to MY BRAIN not necessarily saying it actually matters because pony genes are silly haha. but like sweetie belle having swirly lighter hair with pink in it and also green eyes (((maybe sweetie belle's the only thorn in my side lmao)))) BUT ALSO got stuck in a rut trying to think of what to do with Hondo Flanks especially, decided to use his alternative name for my headcanon aka Magnum and also lengthen it to Magnum Opus. i admittedly didn't spend as much time pondering them as i have with other ponies' fams, Rarity's just not my favorite lol IM SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANYWAY i think Magnum/Hondo grew up in an upper crust, prim and proper family, but he gets into SPORTS of all things and hes GOOD AT IT and meets his wife through it who also loves SPORTS but theyre RICH from INHERITANCE so Rarity and Sweetie Belle grow up spoiled and yet also live in Ponyville lmao. also it was not clear to me gleaning her wiki how the acquired the Carousel Boutique, so i headcanon it was something her parents got her, and then her Canterlot/Manehatten boutiques are ones she earned through her own success. i have even less ideas for Cookie Crumbles, i figure she's down to earth and Magnum likes that about her. Magnum absolutely SPOILS his girls, absolute GIRL DAD. -end of ideas- i had no large ideas for Sweetie Belle i just wanted more design cohesion with her parents since rarity lacks it. :^) kinda went with like a "sweet pea" vibe for her with the additional greens haha,,, princess and the pea????

i hope u enjoy!!!! im trying to find ways to pivot around my distaste of some of these characters so im at least relatively happy where i landed with her. :) its challenging to design so many ponies with a focus on 6, making them all unique and interesting for my brain lol

finished my Spike design!! :D

i'd been aspiring to make a design that i could picture walking on both two and four legs, i like where i landed :) i've also been wanting to do someeee more Sparkle family lore stuff that more heavily involves him so i needed to make these drawings a priority lol (watch me not do anything haha)

and a piece with Rarity in it before i really delve into her lore! i made a little drawing i imagined taking place during the conclusion of the Nightmare Rarity comics where Rarity returns to "normal" but im giving her a big permanent "scar" of sorts hehehehehehehehehehe i wont go into it too much here, i was just simultaneously working on Rarity ideas so i figured i'd clean and color this piece too.

collabing with some other artists on making Mango's family members, I was trying to figure out his older brother Breadwinner's design :) drew his sister as well, theyre all rich pegasi hehe

Sea Glass (not my OC) is Mango's niece through his sister and looks a lot like him to her mom's dismay lol

been collaborating on likeeeee, OC relationships with Mango involving some other artists' OCs and in that process I developed the idea that "Mango Shores" was not Mango's original name,,, I landed on his birth name being Gold Rush. :) we'd been developing his family heritage, the rough idea being he comes from a family of like prosperous business/farmer pegasi. I like to think waaay back in his family tree before they were rich and successful, they came from humble pegasus farmers with maybe some earth pony genes in there. So his parents and siblings are all pegasi and he's the only flightless one. 🥀

but anyway as i was pondering how/why he'd eventually change his name, i fell in love with this idea that like, he's the black sheep in the family already without even trying, hasn't found his special talent yet,,,,, his family travels a lot for business and overseeing their farms by flying and he has to get transported separately because of it, and i think one time while traveling via boat he gets lost at sea. he ends up on this deserted island which is a totally new experience for him, growing up spoiled, but finds he thrives in this natural environment and would eventually get his cutie mark here ((if i wasnt lazy at designing cutie marks lmao)) his talent involves living off the land, and drink mixing. :)

while he's on the island he befriends a little shell-less hermit crab he names Rita later on, and she becomes his little drink mixing buddy hehe.

his family finds him after a while and he returns to his old life somewhat reluctantly,,, but likely as a teen or adult he chooses to leave and return to the ocean to start his life.

finished my Zecora design! ^o^ really like how she came out, I figure she has different bling she wears i just really wanted to work with blues/greens :)

the comic lore has her as being the element of magic for her homeland Farasi too so i wanted to incorporate that and potions,, didnt really showcase that here but in my heart it is haha

i redesign Twilight Sparkle every 2 seconds because shes my favorite :)

i figure she gradually gains more "twilight" pigmentation as she ages/becomes more powerful. and i always liked the idea that she gets "sun-kissed" in a way (gaining a warmer palette) when celestia makes her an alicorn.

just some activities Soarin and Masquerade get up to in private hehe

i was wondering if changelings eat at all and like,,,, maybe not before they're reformed but afterwords there's a scene in the show where they're seen having like a display of different buggy/goop-looking foods lol. i imagine Masquerade, especially with no inclination toward eating, kinda guesses on how to make a pie since Soarin loves them so much <3

and then i was also thinking about how in the show when Thorax meets Flurry Heart, her "love" is so overpowering it causes him to lose his grip on his disguise, so i figureeeed like if their canterlot wedding is any indication, affection with Soarin kinda sets her off easily hehe so they gotta work on it if she wants to fit in and also be with Soarin :) many kisses were had
