(imagine me taking a drag from those long pipes and sitting on an armchair) people often assign carlos enneagram 7 as his core type, but it’s so obvious that it’s based off the way he plays tennis and the playboy yet simultaneous golden boy persona he’s associated with. when that’s literally the most E3 social chameleon thing i’ve ever seennnnnn im like spitballing below about this so messy messy thoughts i needed to get out right now so i can focus on something else

E7 belongs to the head center where fear/anxiety/security/future is the greatest concern. E3 is in the middle of the heart center where the focus is relationships, emotions, and self image, which E3s in particular are most concerned with. carlos, despite being nerdy, family oriented, and a bit more introverted, has had a playboy/party boy image attached to him for a while now, which he intentionally plays into. while he is incredibly charming and has drawn many people towards tennis/following players on tour through his personality alone, but i don’t think that’s enough to categorize him as an E7 when most E3s project this exact image if it’s what’ll benefit their career (and it obviously benefits his). there’s a lot more to say that i have actually thought out fully and written in docs but i’m kinda like spitballing this rn while wait for water to boil on my stove #word

some bullet points about E3 straight from the dome so they probably make zero sense but it’s fine:

- the heart center holds shame, with E3s trying to cover up this shame through becoming someone more “favourable” in the eyes of the environment they’re in. they want to be admired for their achievements and liked, but don’t want others to know that it’s something they want if that makes sense?

- most E3s are not aware of the level of vanity they truly do possess, as heart types do not like confronting what makes them uncomfortable and would rather cover it up with different recipes. they don’t want to acknowledge how self absorbed they are as much as they don’t want others to find out how desperate they are for approval

- someone so obsessed with being “good” and “obeying” like carlos is not a fucking enneagram 7 bro

- when his box was telling him to rile the crowd up to be in his favour to help his mental game against medvedev. also like the entire korda match in general

- tennis prodigy allegations. the “protagonist” of tennis thing. expectation to always be the best and cannot handle when that image is challenged. failing to live up to that expectation = inevitable rejection = rejection is like a death sentence for E3

the E3s relationship with authority and pleasing the other -> juanki.
