in those time travel/dimension mishap au i can never see jason being even a little mean or hard on his younger self. that's a kid who's going to have everything he's ever loved destroyed and incredibly violently at that. especially since there's such a dissonance between robin him and present red hood him, i think jason would see the boy as his own completely different person, a kid who has no idea what horrors are going to come his way. he's dishing out hugs every ten minutes and tearing up over the kids shoulder.
