hey, this one is for you. i know it has not been an easy year but you made it through. you survived the lows and immersed in the heights of joy. on some days, time felt like it came to a painful halt and others, it flew by before you could hold on. i just want to let you know that it is completely okay if you feel no special entering the new year. it does not always have to be 'new year, new you'. take it slow. let things unfold. there are versions of you that awaits to be known. to that melancholic heart, allow yourself to move on. it will get better. it somehow always does and if it doesn't, you will still have your breaths.

My #4 song of the Year 2024 is 'The Feminine Urge' by The Last Dinner Party
Every time I listen to a new TLDP song, I legit think that it's the song of the year. :) It's true, though, because this song has it all - the usual TLDP dramatics, elaborate music video, insane lyrical twists (I am a dark red liver stretched out on the rocks), everything.
One thing that I wanted to remark about TLDP is how easy it would have been to make Abigail the front and center of the band because she has beauty and rizz off the charts. But then so do all the other girls. And I love that they have found the way to split the spotlight and give everyone their moments in the sun, through the musical composition of their songs and live performances where everyone can showcase their talents, or in their artsy music videos. These girls just seem to be having insane levels of fun as a group. :)
Anyway. There are three songs somehow better than this? Well... better is very subjective. Any of the top 5 songs could have easily been my #1, the differences are so small. In any case, top 3 coming right up :)
