I watched a cheesy movie on YT and while it is registered on iMDB and letterboxd, it doesn't have a full cast.

 I though about making a more complex joke out of this whole year beast event but I'm too lazy. So here is Zeus having the time of his life.

you know the year beast has a refresher aura at final speedpath, meaning that if you cast something, it has a 50% chance of immediately refreshing that ability, so my mind immediately went to warlock with aghs and refresher, an army of golems. or even lich, a beachball party with no end. earthshaker, an earthquake that shouts RAMPAGE to anyone who would listen. Lina, slicing everyone up with her laguna blade. zeus, casting lightning fucking everywhere. the possibilities..

Year Beast event dota2

Man I am just looooving the year beast event on dota2. We get our team together ten minutes before it's up. Because damn server lag and you can't get connected if you're not in a team or already in dota2. (pure genius there Valve) 

And then the game gets going, If you haven't played it yet or are having trouble winning. We have found a pretty good golden character line up.

Best Line Up:

1: Zeus. Two thunderbolt of global doom everytime the yearbeast is up? YES PLEASE!

2: Drow ranger. Super damage for taking down the year beast by lv 6, plus increased range for all ranged heroes, which will be at least 40 bonus damage by lv 16. YES PLEASE! Negative with her is that you need to let Zeus mid cause he needs levels, and she suffers and can't get her lv 6 by the five minute mark when the beast spawns in. :c

3. Axe! Axe charges! Axe swings! Axe does great AOE damage and can tank like a boss. yes please!

4. Warlock. Ranged hero, so benefits from drow, and his ulti is an AOE stun. Those golems can push towers, and is just made better with aghs. His an easy hero to win with just in general, and is just wonderful for this line up! Yes please!

5. Tidehunter. AOE stun of doom! Tanky as fuck, and is all round good. 5th hero slot can change though depending on what you might need though. He is probably the only one not essential. but really nice to have!

Alternative picks:

Phoenix: AOE healing, great AOE damage and stun with ulti. Could probably full heal the beast with Aghs. (not tried that one so feel free to correct me)

Silencer: More silence! more aghs! more mana drain! more int stealing! more OP hero of DOOOOOOOM! seriously, why does this hero not get more love in the meta?

Sniper: does good damage like drow. Good alt to her if drow has been taken.

Lich: AOE ulti of doom, get aghs quick man!

Veng: Buff the beast! Stun the beast! Swap the beast! reduce the armour of the beast! Veng is the best support in the game. Always is, always will be, you can argue with me. But you'd be wrong. She pushes lane. she has a stun, she cripples enemies. She can initiate a team fight. And she can carry a fucking game if your carries can't. What is not to fucking love about her?

Juggernaught: Lots of damage, bit squish. They keep nerfing him. But his still so very very good.

Undying: The bane of everyone's existence if someone knows how to play him right. Very good for this mode.

Must have Items!

Mech: Have one! have two! Have everyone have one if need be. Keep that beast alive! You are going for quick win, and that means keeping beast up and pushing.

Pipes: Gods wrath is painful yo. Someone should have one.

aghs: If you're one of the heroes above and you have an aghs. you need that aghs. I believe with every single one mentioned they make the hero ten times better in this.

Teleport scroll/ boots! have one on you at all times. If you walk out your base without one you are a fucking noob and don't deserve this game mode. Have a TP scroll by the five minute mark. YOU NEED ONE AT ALL TIME TO WIN THIS MODE.

Remember, you will probably have the match won and done within 20-30 minutes. You don't want to build big items. You want to build team items. Game changer items. The only person who shouldn't be building essential items is your damage doer. If you're drow, if your jugg, if you're sniper. you are the beast slayer. If it your duty to take that fucker down. Daedelus, Mask of Madness, Basher. You are not going to have time to farm. You are not going to get the money for the best items in the game. Crysalist is cheap. Basher is cheap. and they do damage and increase damage, which is exactly what you need in this game mode. If you don't kill their beast quick then you might as well surrender.

how to play

Make a decision where you're pushing first. Mid is always popular. Mostly because you can buy TP scrolls from the secret shop, otherwise mid has to get their tp scrolls from the courier. and that takes time that could be used on other items. once that beast is up, let it get down lane a bit and TP it to your goal. TP in with it and kill that tower! If their beast is there kill it. If they've put their beast somewhere else. I hope someone was smart enough to buy two TP scrolls, cause you might want to use it. Really only the major damage dealer and the tank needs to go stop the beast. Kill it. and push. You want to take down those tower down quick and fast.

And keep going with it. TP to stop their beast pushing. TP to follow your beast. Or TP it to where you are pushing. rince and repeat. You want to be as fast as possible. Spam the beast abilities in team fights. make sure it always has double damage. and WIN LIKE A FUCKING BOSS MAN!

As for what to pick at the beginning of the match.  3 combat, 1 speed, and 1 support seems to be the best build.

Now go forth! and slay beasts!
