✧ fun facts
01. prism decided to release as if it’s your last as a single since they wanted to focus on more projects throughout the year.
02. the choreography was a collaborative effort between all of the group’s members. this is the first choreography jae and mystie have helped create.
03. though the song has more a summer-like vibe, the girls were eager to show off their work and improvement. february was chosen because of the valentine’s day holiday.
04. the school girl outfits were serena’s idea. she hadn’t been expecting it to get accepted. it helped a lot with their image, showing they can also handle cute concepts without losing their original sound.
05. this was the release that began to really draw in more fans, especially international fans. while not their “it-song”, as if it’s your last is one of prism’s well-known tracks.
06. amihan wasn’t entirely sure where she wanted to go for her solo debut. she tossed around a lot of ideas for the track before settling on the cluster of ideas that eventually became ‘bomb’.
07. she was the most nervous about performing alone on music shows. amihan stated in one of her instagram captions that it was weird not having the members there performing with her.
08. while ashes contributed to the lyrics and choreography, she wasn’t the main writer or choreographer of the song. most of her contributions were just small tweaks as to make it more comfortable or true to her.
09. she once tweeted that the choreography of bomb is probably one of her favorites to perform.
10. birthday was a fun track meant to celebrate serena’s own birthday with the fans. the lyrics are meant to be her own take of how she wishes she could think.
11. while she does a lot for prism as a whole, working on her solo was one of the most difficult projects she’s ever done. the final release was the tenth draft of the song and the final choreography was the fifteenth attempt.
12. serena struggled to perform on her own, often finding herself feeling alone on stage. though she had backup dancers, it wasn’t the same as having her group members by her side. she cancelled one music show appearance because of this feeling.
13. she likes to think of the birthday promotions as a learning experience. serena has learned her limits and she feels ready to try again at another point in time, should she get the chance.
14. the initial idea for mystie’s solo debut was a fun track to dance to with a deeper meaning, and thus, she began to work on her own project from mid-2018 until its’ release in november.
15. while mystie had practice with writing her own lyrics, choreography was another story; the eldest of prism looked to her younger members for guidance. serena helped clean the moves mystie presented to her.
16. the title of the song was chosen to be solo for the message in the lyrics, as well as being the face of mystie’s solo debut. the lyrics shining solo really resonate with the latter, and are her favorite within the song.
17. promotions for solo were held in november to december, the goodbye stage taking place december 10th; with three of four wins, mystie’s debut was successful and the positive response from prism’s fans inspires her to one day release a full album.

✧ fun facts
01. during their countdown live, serena mentioned cut it out was written by ashes and herself when they were angry. the song doesn’t have any concrete choreography, which is meant to emphasize their voices.
02. cut it out is the first official track where serena has rapped. in side conversations on group vlives, the girls have mentioned mystie and serena like to experiment with their skills to better themselves, so they decided to “switch positions” depending on tracks for future comebacks.
03. ddu-du ddu-du was written and choreographed by ashes. the girls have been taking on different challenges to push themselves as artists and ashes decided to take it upon herself to work with their title track.
04. like ddu-du ddu-du was ashes’ project, serena took on forever young as her project. she wrote, produced, and choreographed their b-side that would be promoted with the title track. she said the break was the most difficult to create, but she’s proud of the final product.
05. although prism continued to promote through the scandal, the news of mark and serena’s relationship made it difficult for them to collect wins. serena missed two performances to take time for herself, but came back their last week of promotions when ddu-du ddu-du got its first win.
06. like it was written by jae and mystie while serena and ashes were busy in the studio. originally it was going to be held for a later album, but was later added to the track list when they couldn’t come up with anywhere else for it to fit.
07. while never performed on music shows, like it has a choreography which was created by ashes and serena. the dance practice dropped shortly after the ddu-du ddu-du music video reached 100 million views on youtube.
