Silent Reverie
We rode with the windows down and the wind blowing in circles 'round us. This vast plain of water and palms to our side putting on a show of silent splendor. The setting sun's colors of changing hue beckoned me to follow, not with my feet, but with my heart, soul, and mind. I felt myself leave for a moment to really look at this sunset. ( I say this sunset because of course, no sunset or sunrise is the same as another. Just as God does not show Himself to someone exactly the same way as to another.) It was pure beauty. I don't think someone is able to recall exactly what they thought in that moment, but I was transfixed and completely removed from that place and moment. I think I was silent for most of the ride home...
