fanfic idea that i have to keep in my brain so i'm posting it here
DAVEJAKE AND DIRKJOHN NEW FUCKING SHIPS I HEARD A LIL BIT OF, MOSTLY DIRKJOHN, BUT DAVEJAKE IS FUCKING NEW I'm getting too excited over this ANYWAY the fanfic starts after the events of homestuck (we don't talk about homestuck^2, that shit ain't real) and life is aight, but with the ships of dirkjake and davekat not fucking working, life isn't aight for them. Karkat just can't anymore and he goes off somewhere else, so now it centers just on John confessing to Dave that he likes him, and they give it a shot but that shit don't work out either so dave goes to dirk who's also having a shit time with jake cause their shit isn't working out either anymore then they get the fuckin' idea to swap partners john and jake agree to it, and things fuckin' seem wonky as shit for a while because no one knows how the other will react to certain things UNTIL a fucking week later Turns out John and Dirk really hit it off and enjoy each other's time, Dave and Jake are having a fucking blast, and they all collectively agree that they're happy with each other now maybe insert some rose interactions cause she's like a really good fuckin' therapist and roxy too cause she's like the only person dirk would go to for blabbering about his drama
