Another round of attacks! I can't set up my fancy lights where I live right now and I miss them.

Did you know I'm making a video game? I still have some things to clean up before I am ready to launch the demo on steam but felt that uploading some of the music from it would be fun
I didn't make this song, but I did make the game and its visual assets. Credit to the song creator is on the video.
Do you like the song?
YES
Its fine
Not for me
Seed Piercings
I have seen many Coleoptera who have a connection to a specific plant or even a group of plants, but the Octopuncatatum are unique as they have 8 totally different plants they are connected with. Each of the divots in their back are thought to be spots where these plants grew and some of them will even still grow plants in the divots, although most will just accessorize the divots with piercing that represent the plants so they don’t have to constantly worry about squashing a growing thing on their backs. We have spent the past year working hard to discovering and writing down all the information for this years Animalia Almanac. Although we have collected all the information needed for it this year, we still have a few images we are waiting for to have it complete so you will have to wait a little longer!
To hold you over here is the cover for this past years Alamac! Our theme this year is stars and constellations and we have some amazing art work to go alone with it. We hope that the book we put together this year will inspire you just as much as the stars in the heavens have inspired us.
Access to our personal records of the Animalia Alamac pages can be found here. If you are interested in our research, please consider sharing the project around!

Getting under my skin
‘It is that time again, the time where my scales get itchy and my vision goes blurry for a few days. Just like all other Serpentes every so often I shed the thin layer of skin on top of my scales. It takes a few days for a thin liquid to bubble up between the old skin and my scales and during this time the desire to itch is overwhelming- but I must wait till the skin is fully released to tear it off for if I don’t then I risk making open wounds. However, it is all well worth it as once the old skin is removed I feel brand new! A feeling that is well worth waiting through the itching phase. More information about Serpentes shedding can be found in the Animalia Almanac.’

Just so yall know, if you make an Animalia character and @ me in a tumblr post with it then ill make a mini of whatever you like that is SFW for you and send you the image.

Its not weird, your weird
With the sheer amount of Animalian out there, the pallets that each of us has can be quite far from one another. For example, the Schlegeli have a whole festival around trying to figure out how to cook a bitter, thorny bush the Naja consume milk that is mixed with Venom when its a special occasion, and Megalotis eat bugs. So, is it so odd that my species, the Satyrus, have a very unique kind of spice that we like to add to our food. Most Animalian find it repugnant, but I think if it is prepared correctly, dried Dung can add a nice, unique flavor to food when its sprinkled on top. The other guild leaders make me keep it bottled up tight unless im using it due to its powerful smell, but I think they over react. Its an acquired smell for sure, but its extremely different from fresh feces which smells horrible, they just wont give it a chance cuse of where it comes from. More information about the Satyrus can be found in the Animalia Alamanc.
