did not even occur to me that people went through 3.1 without piecing together that the flame reaver is phainon until a friend interrupted a theory-bouncing session i was having with Another friend like "what the FUCK are you two talking about." anyway i think we ruined her day
#sorry but yeah there's like next to no doubts in my mind aside from not being sure exactly which execution they're going with#the reaver knowing the Exact layout of the grove while all the other black tide creatures kinda wandered about aimlessly#and also knowing to separate mydei from the rest of the group and then go at him from behind#and also still having enough sense of mind to not be a 100% heartless killer#he gave stelle and castorice a chance to surrender. he wasn't going to kill trianne#he's only doing what absolutely needs to be done to accomplish whatever the hell his goal is#alsooooo a convo with an npc actually reveals that someone completely unrelated to ALL of this ran into him#all he did was ask the day of the week and mutter 'Not yet.' when given the answer#so he knows exactly what's going to happen and when none of his strikes have been coincidental#because... he's lived through this before#also painfully obvious parallel happening with phainon-flame reaver and the golden scapegoat minigame#your shadow self retracing your footsteps better be careful or they'll destroy you.#yegah
