I think, therefore I’m single.

long hair falls into a curtain of tresses that blankets the young trainee’s features as yejin speaks. laughter bubbles off jinny’s lips afterward as an initial reaction, loud enough for it to echo inside the training room. it’s difficult to hold the position when her focus is dislodged, concentration dissipating into thin air when humor begins to tickle her. she figures the other is probably deadpan serious about her statement yet curiosity is a funny thing. before jinny can even think much of it, she’s tossing to roll on her belly against her yoga mat, a hand brushing over her strands to sweep them away from her face. the situation is quick to remind her of a time when she warned her best friends about liking another person in a romantic aspect, causing the amused smile to ghost over her lips. while jinny thinks it’s true that a relationship is highly likely to displace one’s activity in huge chunks of commitment, she can’t exactly say those who are in one aren’t thinking. “then what does that say about those who are committed then? that they’re using their hormones instead of gray matter?”
for the short amount of time that jinny’s known yejin, she doesn’t ever recall a time when she’s heard the female mention anything regarding her love life. not that she would ever pry on it since that’s a bit too personal and she’s always keen on showing respect to that. a curious mind calls for answers though and she carefully queries, “has unnie been in a relationship though? or ever liked anyone that makes you think it’s better to be off single? i mean, that’s what you make it sound like anyways.”
