Yellow is the easiest Decholder to talk to. Whenever the other dexholders are having a rough time they call her and vent to her, knowing she'll listen and be supportive.

Every time they hang up they feel a bit better, if not refreshed, by talking to her.

Looking over my favorite moments from the Yellow arc. I remember looking back on this a bit ago as not being one of my favorites, I liked the mystery and how we don’t know where Red is or what’s going on there but I think I didn’t love Yellow, I tried rating all the protagonists with a tierlist earlier and Yellow was second to last.

Of course that tierlist may not be accurate at the end of this rereadthrough:

Volume 4:

I will say I am a fan of most of the first chapter. Starting with Agatha, showing Red accepting the challenge, and ending with a heavily injured Pikachu. It’s a good start.

I did like the last chapter of this volume with Blue’s fight against Agatha, but that’s nothing special, I’ve always liked Blue.

Volume 5:

Not really a moment, but I like how Lance is shown throughout this arc, starting out with brief glimpses of him in shadow, maybe saying just one line, it’s nice.

I feel bad saying this, since I feel I should be appreciating Yellow more, but my favorite moment in this volume is Green breaking into Bill’s house. I think I do like the confrontation between Yellow and Lance near the end of the volume though.

Volume 6:

I guess the Agatha fight was nice.

Volume 7:

The Lance vs. Blaine fight definitely. Particularly that moment where Mewtwo has smashed the pokeballs and Lance reveals he already let out all of his pokemon. Something I particularly like about that is that there were signs that the pokemon were already out from the rumblings they felt before. If they had realized that they could’ve probably done more against Lance there, it’s just a nice detail.

I love the finale to the Lorelei fight where Green has her arm cut off and captures Lorelei by having her Ditto transform.

Giovanni. Just the way he outperforms Lance and very nearly defeats him is really good. One of my favorite moments from this arc definitely.

This is an arc that I feel like I definitely have less to say about, not that I hate it, I think the elite 4 and lance are great threats and the way some of them are beaten is really neat, I just don’t feel a ton of excitement and joy reading this arc. There’s not as many favorite moments here, it’s more the general feel of how smart and threatening the Elite 4 are that I love.

Favorite Moment:

I think my favorite moment from this arc is probably the Mewtwo fight. The Giovanni moment was the only other thing in this arc that comes close, and there aren’t too many great moments. But the Mewtwo fight’s conclusion where Lance reveals he planned ahead and because of that defeated Blaine is just really good.

The manga Pokémon Adventures is a beautiful thing that shows that a family really can be the Pokémon League Champion, his Rival Trainer, the Flirty Thief, and their nonbinary yellow child they found in the woods.
