1999 - The Ulysses asteroid, containing the King in Yellow within, is shot by Stonehenge, a railgun array built in an attempt to protect the continent Usea from Ulysses.
As fragments of the asteroid begin to strike, one piece in particular strikes the hometown of Yellow 13. This fragment housed a piece of the King, known as Yellow, who becomes bonded to 13 - unbeknownst to him.
2004 - The Ulysses Impact Event, as it came to be called, hit Usea hard despite humanity's efforts. A refugee crisis and spiraling political tensions led to the Federal Republic of Erusea, 13's home country, to utilize Stonehenge to take over the continent. Now, 13 is stationed in the occupied city of San Salvacion, unaware of Yellow's presence.
That is until one day, when a newly physical Yellow stumbles his way into the bar and up to 13. Unable to speak, Yellow attempts to communicate with 13, to little success. But even so, they manage to come to some sort of understanding. Perhaps 13 feels something familiar about this stranger, perhaps he just trusts them.
